TiE Islamabad Chapter in strategic partnership with Epiphany is proud to announce “WATSATHON”, a water and sanitation hackathon by Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP). “WATSATHON” will provide an opportunity to promote the use of mobile technology as a tool in the water and sanitation sector where programmers, software engineers, data specialists and thinkers would team up to put their skills to work in building solutions to the WSSP functions, growth and impact, and water and sanitation related challenges, which can later be put to use by WSSP on the ground to aid the communities that need them.
The objective of this event is to raise awareness and showcase the potential of local developers to craft innovative technical solutions and applications for addressing the challenges of Water and Sanitation sector, their services, delivery and growth in Peshawar. “WATSATHON” also aims at linking various stakeholders, including the government, entrepreneurs, software developers, private sector, financiers and associations that normally may not have a close interaction on these issues.
